The Perfect Holiday Wardrobe
When packing I find it really difficult to know what to take.  I like to give myself a lot of choice, but in recent years I have found this normally leads to disaster. I end up with far too many clothes and no clues as to what goes with what.  I also end up spending a lot of time in my bedroom deciding what to wear rather than at the bar or on the beach having fun.

This year I think I cracked it with my packing choices, so I thought I would share my tips with you. I found I had managed to pack enough clothes for the entire holiday and was more organised when it came to knowing what I would wear for different times of the day or situations. Hopefully these tips will help to ensure you spend more time in the sun that you do routing around your suitcase and in front of the mirror.

Mix and Matching is Essential
If you are buying new clothes always think about how each piece will fit into what you already have.  Being able to mix and match every item in your bag will help you to coordinate any outfit quickly.  It’s always useful if you want to wear certain pieces more than once throughout your stay. If you are heading out for a sunny beach holiday choose all of your beachwear first and build the rest of your wardrobe around them.

Take two bikinis and one swim suit or choose one which is reversible to give you more options. Remember you can always dress up bikini tops and swimming costumes with trousers, shorts, skirts and shirts if you like the idea of heading straight from the beach for a night out.  Sarongs are a must as they work as cover up on the beach and can also be transformed into skirts, dresses and a wrap. Find one which will match all of your swimwear pieces.

One Lightweight Jacket Which Goes with Everything is Essential
Light summer dresses don’t take up much room and can be ideal for casual days out. If you pack a pair of heals and some accessories these summer dresses will carry you into the night with ease too.  A pair of black shorts matched with a shirt is also a chic look which can be packed with ease.  Never take expensive jewellery though as you don’t want to be targeted by thieves or heartbroken if you lose any of the pieces.
