It is essentially a series of memory games and puzzles that will challenge your child’s mind and keep her or him entertained for hours. Kids can interact with the adorable feline character and download plenty of colorful Hello Kitty wallpapers to the phone as well.

Kids Paint Free
• Kids Paint Free is a free app for Android devices that is hailed as being the best painting program for kids. Essentially, it allows your child to create wonderful finger paintings directly on the smartphone or tablet. It is easy to use and is fun enough to keep your little ones engaged for hours, which is perfect during long road trips.

SpongeBob Diner Dash
• SpongeBob Diner Dash is the number one kids game at the iTunes App Store and is free. If your kids love SpongeBob SquarePants, they will love playing this game. The object is to help SpongeBob serve customers at various Bikini Bottom restaurants. There are several levels and the ability to earn power-ups.

Arithmetics for Kids Free
• Arithmetics for Kids Free is available for Android smartphones and tablets and is great for keeping your kids entertained while sharpening their math skills at the same time. There are fun games within the app that will challenge your child’s brain and keep them entertained during a long road trip. They will have so much fun that they won’t even realize they are learning.

  1. Thank you for sharing these apps! My kids and I take road trips frequently, so it’s definitely always nice to come across apps they have yet to try out. SpongeBob Diner Dash sounds like a game I might enjoy too, lol! I’ll have to tell one of my coworkers at Dish about it also, since her kid is SpongeBob obsessed! In addition to a few other kid apps, my kiddos also like to use my Dish Remote Access app in those certain areas we get a 3G/4G or Wi-Fi connection. I’ve recorded tons of movies and cartoons for them on my DVR, so with that app and my Sling Adapter, they are able to watch all of those recorded shows or even live cartoons anywhere we go. It definitely helps them kill some time on the longer trips, and saves me from those dreaded four words, “Are we there yet?” ?
